My supervisor finally saw fit in getting back to me about the possibility of training a fill-in inspector last night.  Too bad that she’s kind of dumb and told me that she had reservations about the person I wanted to train.  I had to talk her into allowing it.

Beggars can’t be choosers, and when one of my inspectors has been out for practically a month, it’s past time to get someone in there to do that job, even if they aren’t the perfect candidate.  Truth of the matter is, he has experience doing inspections and using gages.  Besides, that he likes Tool  That’s more than enough to qualify him in my mind.  No one knows for certain when my regular inspector will be back on a regular basis, so I’m quite relieved to be moving forward getting someone else trained.

Another positive thing from the workplace is that we aren’t mandatory for Saturday.  So I’ll finally get around to calling my parents back.  I’m sure they will be relieved to know I’m not dead after all, just over worked.
