A Little More Internet Please
Last night when I got home from work, my internet connection was down. My modem said that I was connected, but it was obvious to me that something was wrong on my ISP’s end. This morning I called my internet provider’s provider. They pinged my modem, and told me that there was a 75% packet loss. That’s never good. They couldn’t help me, but told me to call my ISP at 8:30 when they opened.
When I called the local telephone company to explain my problem, they really didn’t have a clue what could be wrong but said they would look into it. At around 9:30, my internet kicked in. Joe, from the phone company, called me back at 9:45 and I informed him when it had started working again. Apparently some other folks on the same interchange (I think that’s the word) called to complain of the same symptoms I had. Any way, it works now (obviously since I’m posting this).
Having an internet outage gave me the motivation to clean up the kitchen and do some laundry. So some good did come out of it.
